Les Misérables

Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Boublil and Schönberg’s Les Misérables: The Arena Spectacular has begun its world tour and will arrive in Australia in April 2025 for a strictly limited season in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. As the world’s longest-running musical celebrates its 40th anniversary in London, this breathtaking production has been reimagined for large-scale venues, featuring an extraordinary new design and a cast and orchestra of over 65.

Having captivated over 130 million people across 53 countries and in 22 languages, Les Misérables remains one of the world’s most beloved musicals. The Australian production will showcase a stellar lineup of legendary Les Mis performers alongside rising stars. Alfie Boe and Killian Donnelly will share the role of Jean Valjean, with Michael Ball and Bradley Jaden alternating as Javert. The cast also includes Matt Lucas and Marina Prior as The Thénardiers, Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine, Jac Yarrow as Marius, Beatrice Penny-Touré as Cosette, and James D. Gish as Enjolras.

Victor Hugo’s timeless masterpiece is a powerful story of broken dreams, unrequited love, passion, sacrifice, and redemption—a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Featuring a magnificent score with iconic songs such as “I Dreamed a Dream”, “On My Own”, “Bring Him Home”, and “One Day More”, this epic production continues to inspire audiences worldwide.
